Becks Ross

I am a sister, Aunt, friend, doula, powerlifter, crafty gal and so much more. I pride myself on the community I have built here in Duluth and have made a home for myself somewhere that is nourishing to my soul. To me, a doula is passionate about bringing knowledge and power to the birthing person and their family.

Birth is intuitive if you let it be, like breathing or sneezing. Your body knows what is supposed to happen at the time it needs to happen. Some women need reminding of the power they hold. That’s what I want to be for them, someone that can remind them to trust their own intuition. Holding space for women is so important as well. Knowing their truth and worth is important in the beginning of motherhood. When I hold space for someone, it lets them trust themselves more.

I also support birthing people in the postpartum.  To help in the postpartum time, I help set up meal trains, talk about boundaries, provide support and care for breastfeeding, and so much more. The journey of the postpartum can be nerve-wracking, but if you have someone in your corner, it could make it all that more comfortable.
